HEATHER EIDE, Head DJ - Orange, CA:
Originally from Vancouver, Canada and Minneapolis, MN, Heather has resided in Orange County, CA since 2004.
She has DJ’d at multiple dance camps, exchanges, events, including Camp Hollywood, Camp Jitterbug, Balboa Rendezvous,
The Rhythmic Arts Festival, Swing in the Colony, Bal Jam, The OC/LA Lindy Exchanges, The 24-Hour Cancer Dance-a-Thon,
California Girl Jam, and many more.

She has been dancing since 1997, and as dancer and former jazz singer, she understands the styles of music that gets dancers moving! Locally, she can be heard DJing at Strutter's Ball, Memories, Atomic Ballroom, and at other local events in California.
She has competed and placed in various dancing and DJ competitions, and loves to play a variety of musical styles and artists.
Her love of swing music started at an early age by watching Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly movies.

That love blossomed in later years as one of Vancouver’s first swing dance instructors and DJs, and as a dance instructor

MELISSA VARRIANO - Minneapolis, MN:
Melissa Varriano, more notably know to all as Mel, was introduced to the wonderful world of Lindy Hop in the Fall of 1998
while residing in San Diego, CA (we can't wait for her to return...)

Since that day she has dedicated herself to traveling all over the United States and Europe, taking workshops from numerous talented instructors, teaching classes in several locations, competing at various events, organizing local events, and dancing the nights away whenever possible.

RICHARD BASI - Portland, OR
I hail from England, and I have DJ'd in London, Vegas and Utah, but my mainstay is in Portland, Oregon, where I now live. I DJ regularly there at Swing dances and have recently battled in Seattle with the hottest DJs in town.

My music? More speed, less haste; more bump, less grind; more flow, less hustle; more heat, less sweet. I can't think of a warmer place to be on the West Coast (yay for leaving behind the Portland rain and cold!).

New Year '08 was London. New Year '09 - San Diego, New Year '10 - San Diego again!!

CARL FLORES - San Diego, CA

Carl has been dancing for nine years where his love for the music and dances of the swing era inspired him to add DJing to the mix over the last three of years.

He loves to spin tunes for his dance hometown of San Diego at various venues including the Firehouse, Lindy By The Bay and All Thing Swing, and has DJed in OC for Strutters' Ball and LindyGroove in Pasadena.

With his main goal to keep the dance floor swinging, Carl plays everything from standards to jump blues and big band. Favorite artists include Cab Calloway, Barbara Morrison, Stompy Jones and Joe Williams. As for rumors of a wannabe crooner behind the mic, his standard reply was: “pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!”

JACKIE ELDRIDGE - San Diego, CA
Jackie is fairly new to San Diego and swing dancing but her love of swing music and standards has spanned almost her entire life.

Listening to Frank Sinatra as a young child led her to appreciate the amazing music of the swing era.
Jackie loves all genres of music so you won't hear only swing music played in one of her sets...
she'll go from Benny and Basie to Ella and Frank to Etta and Ray to Beyonce and Duffy...

Her DJ-ing is kinda like a box of chocolates...ya never know whatcha gonna get.
